Exams

Each year pupils have the chance to take IDTA and LAMDA qualifications in the dance and musical theatre subjects they've been studying. The IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) is one of the largest international dance associations in the world and is affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) has been offering exams since the 1880s. Today, these exams have been refined and developed by experts and are designed to equip candidates with a range of skills in the performing arts. The curriculum is taught by registered LAMDA teacher Mrs Dalyanci.

Taking exams is entirely optional, but they do provide children and adults alike with a regular goal, a chance to judge their progress and a recognised qualification.

Exam sessions usually take place during the Summer term, although special sessions can be arranged at other times for children that show exceptional talent or are looking to make rapid progress.
